Frequently asked questions
Common questions about getting a website built.
General
Do you work with businesses outside the UK?
Everything's remote — calls, email, and screen-shares — so location isn't usually a blocker, though pricing and payment are set up for UK clients by default.
Can you redesign an existing website instead of starting from scratch?
Usually yes. If it's not already built by me I'll take a quick look at how it's hosted and built before quoting, since that affects how much of it can be reused.
Who owns the finished site?
You do — the domain and the code are yours. There's no ongoing fee required just to keep the site existing once it's built and hosted.
New business website
How much does a website cost?
It depends on how many pages and how much custom functionality (booking tools, quote calculators, etc.) you need — I give a fixed price after a short call, before any work starts.
How long does it take?
A straightforward small-business site is usually live within one to two weeks once I have your content (text, photos, logo). Sites with custom tools take a bit longer.
Custom tools & integrations
Can you add a quote calculator to my existing site?
Usually yes — if your site isn't built by me I'll need to see how it's hosted first, but a calculator or booking widget can often be embedded without a full rebuild.
Does the AI reply get sent to customers automatically?
No — by default it drafts a reply for you to review and send yourself. I can wire up fully automatic replies later once you're comfortable with how it sounds.
Ongoing support & hosting
Do I need an ongoing contract?
No — support is available on request. Some clients prefer a small monthly arrangement for faster turnaround; that's optional, not required.
What if I want to move my site elsewhere later?
You own the code and the domain, so you're free to move it — I'll help with the handover rather than make it difficult.
